Act before you think 2010

For the last decade, the Mind Adventures Theatre Company, headed by Tracy Holsinger, has aimed to innovate constantly – pushing the boundaries and reinventing the rules of theatre and the stage in Sri Lanka. With this goal in mind, Mind Adventures once again plans to introduce to the Sri Lankan theatre-going audiences a new experience with Act Before You Think 2010 (Theatre Championships).

Act Before You Think 2010 is a competition of live, improvised theatre, along the lines of the famous TV show Whose Line is it Anyway? Here, teams can compete against each other in a series of fun, theatre-based challenges – with a winning team walking with exciting prizes each night. An eclectic panel of judges, comprising of well-known theatre personalities, critics and other artists will judge the teams for wit, humour, intelligence and creativity.

The competition runs for four weeks in October – on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th - at the Warehouse Project, Maradana, Colombo 10 (opposite Elphinstone Theatre), starting at 8.00 PM. You can sign up your team of four by emailing Mind Adventures at daytripperinfo@gmail.com or calling them on +94 777 425 027.

Tickets priced at Rs. 300 will be available at the door each night for those who want to watch or support teams. Mind Adventures would like to acknowledge their partners and sponsors without whom this venture would not have been possible – Main Sponsor Elephant House, Exclusive Print Media Sponsor Sunday Times and Venue Sponsor Warehouse Project.
