The Nationalized Services All Island Open Badminton Championships 2009 is scheduled to be held at the S.Thomas’ College indoor stadium in Mt.Lavinia from 19 to 24 September. Matches will start daily from 8 a.m. onwards.
This tournament is organized by the Nationalized Services Badminton Association (NSBA) which is an affiliated member of the Sri Lanka Badminton Association (SLBA) and one of the most active and popular badminton associations in the country. This will be the 23rd occasion that this
Tournament will be held and it is a Level 1 National Ranking Tournament.
There are more than 750 entries for the 14 event categories and entries closed on 2 September with the draw being held on 7 September 2009.
The finals of the events and the award ceremony will be held on 24 September 2009 from 3.00 p.m. Sri Lanka Telecom is the principal sponsor of this event.
