Sinhala Sing - along by Moratuwa Arts Forum

After a lapse of few years the Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) will be organizing their famous Sing-along Concert of Sinhala Old favourites titled ‘Gayamu Eda Gee – 2009’. This three hour sing-along programme will come alive at the Buddhist Hall, Moratuwa on September 20 from 6.00 p.m. onwards.

‘Gayamu Eda Gee’ feature a wide repertoire of Sinhala evergreen songs; made popular by well known local artistes. In keeping with the times a host of old patriotic songs too will be included in the programme.

Music for the programme will be provided by the ‘Golden Chimes’ and Moratuwa Arts Forum Orchestra. An attractive song book complete with full lyrics of about 100 songs will be issued along with the tickets at the gates.

The guidance for audience participation will be provided by MAF members some of them happen to be well known names in the music field. In addition to singing there would be attractive dance sequences performed by MAF members.

This ‘Gayamu Eda Gee’ programme is bound to attract the music loving public of Moratuwa and others in great numbers. Tickets are priced at Rs. 500/- and 300/- are available at Keells Super, Moratuwa and Mt. Lavinia, Nishani Video Moratuwa, Multi Pharmacy Rawathawatte, Milk House Idama, Lenard Grocery, Chamin Recording Studio, Moratuwa.

‘Gayamu Eda Gee’, the Concert project for MAF is be handled by the two co-Chairmen Sarath Goonawardene and Jagath Devapriya.
