Kiran banks on new faces

Entrepreneur Kiran Atapattu, who was one time Manager of now defunct popular band 'Eternal Soul', embarked into a new venture. Kiran, apart from his interest in music and plans to resurrect his old band, he is looking at the possibilities in the field of teledrama.

'I am not a great teledrama fan, but by watching few on mini screen, I thought I would be able to work on a novel theme. I was toying with this idea for a long time and now I thought of giving it a reality touch. I haven't decided on any thing yet' Kiran said. He said he would finalize his plans soon and get on with it.
'I have thought of few veterans and hope to give chances for new faces too. A well known director would be at the driving seat with me for this new venture' he said.

Kiran is the Chairman of Colombo Engineering, the premier ship repairing company in Sri Lanka. He has won 13 'Business Excellence', 'Entrepreneur of the Year' and 'Exporter of the Year' Awards during the past fifteen years, including the current year Award. Kiran said his ship repairing business brought much foreign exchange than any other single segment of tourism.

According to him, ship repairing and other shipping matters are good revenue spinners to the country and it should be developed under tourism sector or under any appropriate authority.

Nowever his musical side of life is much into the action now and determined to come out with this new concept 'all girl band'

'I would be keen to put up an all girl band too. That's where my interest lies. It is mainly because of marketing an outfit like that would be much easy here and overseas' he added.
