Another successful Global Education Fair Organised by ANC Education, the #1 Global Education Provider in Sri Lanka, Ends on a High Note!

ANC Global Education Fair-2022 saw the participation of about 200 students completing their O Levels and A Levels. Despite unprecedented challenges, they all were ready to start their undergraduate education right off with ANC partner universities which are globally recognized. International admission officials from 20 universities in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK were available both in person and through virtual event streaming to ensure that students are ready for success even before they step into their dream college.
Highlights of the Event
One-on-one Interactions with International Admission Officials from leading Universities
The event provided the opportunity for students (and their parents) to have one-on-one interactions with the university representatives. They received accurate/ authentic information related to the types of study options available, specific colleges and universities, academic courses/ majors offered, cost and financial aid for international students, on-campus employment, internship opportunities, standard test (IELTS/ SAT/ PTE) requirements, student visa requirements, etc.
Merit-based Scholarships
Number of students qualified for merit-based scholarships up to USD 14,000/ AUD 90,000. Academic achievement, athletic skills, leadership potential, and other special talents were recognised by almost all the universities. Since many scholarships are determined by the admissions application, ANC transfer students are assured of a variety of generous scholarships.

Better quality education and better employment prospects are the key drivers for studying abroad. The US, Canada, Australia, the UK, NZ, etc. have been welcoming destinations for international students, for they offer high-quality education opportunities that ensure students are well prepared for the complexity of a global world.
The US
The US has been the world’s top study destination for international students for years. It was mentioned at the EducationUSA forum held recently that it is a foreign policy priority for the US government to ensure that the US remains the best choice for international students. Top-ranked universities equipped with the latest technology, unique curriculums in a wide range of study areas, academic flexibility, career opportunities, and research and training opportunities are the reasons for millions of international students to flock to the US every year. Some US universities of high repute participated in the event: Northwood University, Missouri University of Science &Technology, University at Albany, University of Central Missouri, and the State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY Oswego).
Canada
The majority of students who choose Canada are interested in staying and settling in Canada. While quality teaching, affordable tuition, internship/ co-op / on-campus work opportunities, high standard of living, warm welcoming community, multicultural diversity, and friendly immigration policies attract students to Canada, Canadian universities help international students build their future in Canada through abundant support even after graduation. Four Canadian universities were represented at the event: Algoma University, Brock University, Seneca College, and Sheridan College.
The UK
The UK is also home to top universities in the world. And British qualifications are globally accepted. Excellent teaching, world-leading research, part-time jobs and internships, post-study work visa (since 2015), scholarships and financial support, and health benefits are some of the reasons why the UK is one of the top choices for international students. ANC’s academic partner, the University of West London, was represented at the education fair.
Australia
Australian universities as well welcome international students with open arms even though very strict travel restrictions during the pandemic saw a drop in student numbers last year. Top-ranked universities, a multitude of degree programmes on offer, friendly immigration policies, high-quality living, internships/ part-time work opportunities, etc. are what makes Australia very appealing to international students. Several Australian universities participated in the event: Navitas Limited, Flinders University, La Trobe University, Up Education / ICHM, University of Wollongong, Deakin University, and Western Sydney University.
Students completing their O Levels have the opportunity to start their higher education journey with the Australian Foundation Programme at ANC and transfer to one of the 23 prestigious Australian universities and colleges to complete the degree: University of Western Australia (Taylors College – Study Group), University of Adelaide (Eynesbury College) and many other prestigious universities such as Deakin College, La Trobe College, University of Tasmania, University of South Australia, Melbourne Institute of Technology, Western Sydney University, University of Wollongong, Queensland University of Technology college, Edith Cowan College, William Angliss Institute, Macquarie University, Flinders University (Eynesbury College), University of Wollongong College, Murdoch University, UP Education, Study Group, James Cook University, Queensland Institute of Technology.
