More than 30,000 new graduate teachers to be appointed
View(s):The Government is planning to appoint 31,000 graduate teachers soon, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said recently.
He said they will be appointed out of 53,000 graduates appointed recently by the Government.
The teacher appointments will be done after holding a test and selecting only the suitable people on merits.
They will be trained and will receive a diploma in education once they complete their training, in addition to their degrees, the Minister said.
The quality development of education will be upgraded through these measures, he added.
