University of Cyberjaya shows no signs of slowing down

BCAS Campus proudly announce that we are conducting an information session organised for Cyberjaya University in Malaysia. This seminar will be conducted via Zoom on the 16th Saturday January 2021 from 10.30 am onwards.

A great university is made through years of experience and development. With the number of awards the University of Cyberjaya has achieved within its 15 years of excellence, it’s safe to say that the university is well on its way to greatness.

Established in 2005, the top-tier university has produced 3,000 healthcare professionals who are at the forefront of the healthcare industry as well as graduates in occupational safety and health.

With a Higher Education Ministry’s Setara (Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions) five-star excellent rating, and the international QS 5-Star rating for the categories of Teaching, Employability, Inclusiveness and Facilities, University of Cyberjaya is ranked as one of the pre-eminent private universities in Malaysia.

Adding to their list of achievements, the university was also ranked Top 601+ by Times Higher Education (THE), the publishers of the World University Rankings. The university was assessed under 4 individual Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) namely, Good Health and Well-being (Top 200), Quality Education (Top 600), Gender Equality (Top 401+) and Partnerships for the Goals (Top 600).

Since achieving its university status last October 2019, the university has continuously added new industry relevant programmes for students to choose from. They include business programmes such as Bachelor in International Business Management and Bachelor in Business Administration.

The university also offers new postgraduate pharmacy courses which are Master in Science (MSc) in Public Health (Global Health), Master in Science (MSc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Doctor of Philosophy (Phd) in Pharmaceutical Science.

Along the years, the university has attracted many notable patrons including national diver, Nur Dhabitah Sabri. The 21-year-old who is currently undertaking her Diploma of Occupational Safety & Health is set to join Team Malaysia to the Olympics held in Tokyo, next year.

Being the first Malaysian podium finisher in the women’s 3m springboard individual ever since the establishment of FINA Diving World Series aside from being conferred the Ahli Mahkota Wilayah award from His Majesty, DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda YDP Agong, the university is honoured to receive her as their golden girl.

With over 300 highly experienced academicians, the university excels in teaching and research. However, the university also uploads a holistic approach that encourages students to be motivational leaders, inspirational sportspeople, social contributors and more.

One of its most notable students’ achievements include winning the title as champions for the 4th consecutive year in a row at the MyPSA National Pharmacy Sports Carnival (NPSC) bagging 22 medals – 10 gold, six silver and six bronze.

True to its motto, “Nurturing the passion to care”, students at the University of Cyberjaya are taught to serve the community while learning to sharpen their skills and expertise.

For instance, right at the start of their studies between Year 1 and Year 3, medical students are exposed to international humanitarian programmes. These programmes give them the opportunity to visit countries such as Nepal, Vietnam, Laos, Bangladesh and Indonesia to help communities affected due to earthquakes and flash floods.

When students are not busy making waves globally, they are usually found at their modern, fully equipped, green-friendly campus that’s surrounded by lush greeneries for a serene and conducive learning environment. The world class facilities at the University of Cyberjaya include a 1,500-seater grand hall, 18,000 sqft (1,672sqm) modern library, science laboratories, an anatomy gallery and more.
