Kandy will come under stiff competition when they play their second last game today at Nittawela against Havelock Sports Club.

Kandy will be once again led by Nigel Ratwatte who will be in the starting line-up despite carrying an injury. He will be supported by Tharinda Ratwatte who had a magnificent season after crossing over from CR. Diluksha Dange, Damith Dissanayake, Kavindu Perera along with Shehan Pathirana should be the main players for the Kandy outfit who are assured of the League title for a record sixth consecutive year.

Jason Dissanayake, Kavindu Perera, Ashan Darling and Charles Praveen will start this key encounter in order to keep their unbeaten tag this season intact.

Meanwhile, for Havies this will be a very long journey. They lost their way after the first round game at the Park losing out 22-12.

Shawkat Lahir, Sandesh Abeywickrema, Mithun Hapugoda, Randy Silva and Prince Chamara are the vital players for the Park Club. They are one of the teams that could spoil Kandy’s party.

Coached by veteran Sanath Martis, they will need to end their last two games on a good note to give them a morale boost for the upcoming Clifford Cup Knockout Tournament.

The danger for Havies is if they end on number four in the league after their 14 games, they will need to travel up to Kandy once more to meet the Up Country outfit in the first encounter of the Super round.

Referee: Ishanka Abeykoon
