Celebrating 72 Years of Independence

The Overseas School of Colombo (OSC) celebrated Sri Lanka’s 72nd Independence Day on the 29th of January. The chief guest for the day was Mr. Chevaan Daniel – Executive Group Director at The Capital Maharaja Organisation Ltd.

Mr. Daniel addressed the gathering with a focus on the theme ‘Sri Lanka – United under one flag’. He seamlessly related to the theme by drawing events and experiences from his childhood. His words reverberated to rekindle love and hope for Mother Lanka.

The celebrations comprised of performances by students and the staff of the school to promote and highlight the diversity and uniqueness of Sri Lanka.
