Competent Authority for Vocational Technology University
View(s):Senior Professor Ranjith Premalal de Silva was recently appointed as the Competent Authority of the University of Vocational Technology, by Higher Education, Technology and Innovation Minister Bandula Gunawardana.
A gazette notification from the Higher Education Ministry said the appointment was made as university proceedings were disorganised and the relevant authorities had failed to take action.
The Competent Authority can perform and discharge duties in lieu of the University of Vocational Technology’s Vice-Chancellor.
