Daminda Cooray at the helm of ACUSL

Former Thurstan College and Nomads CC cricketer, Daminda Cooray, was elected the President of the Association of Cricket Umpires of Sri Lanka (ACUSL) at its 75th Annual General Meeting held on Friday.
Upul Wewage was elected the General Secretary while Saman Hewavitharana was elected the Assignment Secretary for the coming term. Five Vice Presidents were named — three elected and two appointed by the ACUSL Executive Committee. All positions were filled in elected, besides the position of Assistant Treasurer, which was claimed by Damith Sanjeewa uncontested.
The following were elected to serve on the committee for 2019/2020 on majority vote.
