St. Peter’s College powered their way to a comprehensive 32-7 victory over Trinity College in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament second-round encounter played at Bambalapitiya yesterday.

The Peterites simply outclassed their opponents as they sealed the contest in their favour while collecting their points from two goals, three tries and one penalty.
In fact, the home side virtually sealed the game before half time as they built up a commanding 20-0 lead at the short whistle following a superlative performance.

The Trinitians never looked like making a comeback as they eventually went down tamely while managing to score just a solitary try.
Diyath Fernando scored twice while Ravin Fernando, Janindu Fernando and Nilar Nizran scored a try each for St. Peter’s while Dilshan Madushanka put over the penalty and converted two tries.

M. Yashwanth planted the solitary try for Trinity shortly before the final whistle.
