Self Financing Scheme Scholarships from India

The High Commission of India (HCI) has called for applications from GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) qualified Lankan students to apply for undergraduate courses in India, under the Self Financing Scheme for the academic year 2019-20. Applicants for the MBBS-BDS course should have obtained marks of 50% in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, in May 2019.

However, NEET is not required for MBBS for the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Also B.Arch aspirants are required to pass the aptitude test as prescribed by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Interested candidates are requested to fill the Application forms available at the Education Wing of the HCI, Colombo 3, on any working day between 2 pm-4 pm. Applications close on June 10, 2019.

Candidates should produce their GCE O/L and A/L certificates issued by the Department of Examinations, together with their birth certificates. London GCE O/L and A/L certificates will also be considered. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas citizens of India (OIC) cardholders and Non-residents of India (NRI), are ineligible. - CC
