All age group winners with YMCA officials and invitees
K.H. Budhi Shenal, Sithuli Ranasingha, Sehandu Thewmika and Sithumdi Seneviratne emerged champions in their respective age groups at the 9th Open Junior Badminton Tournament organised and conducted by the Moratuwa YMCA at its Indoor Sports Complex recently.
The event was conducted in age groups of Under-11 and Under-13 for boys and girls and was participated by over 300 up and coming young shuttlers who exhibited a high standard of play.
Officials of the organising Moratuwa YMCA together with parents and well wishers attended the championship which has become a popular event in its annual calendar.
Chief Guest at the finals and presentation ceremony was R.M. Jumar, former President of the Western Province Badminton Association.

Under-11 Girls:
Winner: Sithuli Ranasingha; Runner-up: Senudi Amarasinghe
Under-13 Boys:
Winner: Sehandu Thewmika; Runner-up: M.D. Achinthya Imeshak
Under- 13 Girls:
Winner: Sithumdi Seneviratne; Runner-up: Dinumi Sehansa Cordon
