Jithara and Senura adjudged Most Outstanding Players

Jithara Warnakulasuriya of Ladies’ College, Colombo and Anandian Senura Silva were adjudged the Most Outstanding Players at the Junior National Table Tennis Championships staged at the Indoor Stadium of the Panagoda Sri Lanka Army tables last weekend.

Conducted by the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka a total number of 455 participants, both boys and girls exhibited a high quality of table tennis which was competed in six age groups for both girls and boys.

Jithara Warnakulasuriya won the Girls  Under-15 Singles championship and went on to win the Under-18 Doubles championship partnering Thanushi Rodrigo of Mahamaya Girls’ School, Kandy.

Senura Silva of Ananda College, won the Boys Singles event and ended as runner-up in the Under-18 Mixed Doubles event.

D.H. Kolambage of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda emerged champion at the Girls’ Under-18 Singles event.
