A tuition teacher was arrested at a Bodagama exam centre while he was answering the GCE Ordinary level mathematics paper on behalf of another candidate.
The impostor, a resident of Pannegamuwa in Tissamaharamaya, was arrested by officers of the Tanamalwila police on Monday on a complaint made by the exam hall supervisor.

Investigations revealed that the tuition teacher had placed his photograph over the candidate’s photograph on the National Identity Card. The supervisor had noticed the forgery when he inspected the identity cards of the candidates. The real candidate works as a driver at the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha.
The suspects were produced before the Wellawaya magistrate on Tuesday.
