Sithumi beat Shashini in all RBV final
A home and home table tennis final between Sithumli Rathnayake and Shashini Malsha of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha took place at the Girls Under-14 Singles Invitation Table Tennis Tournament 2018 at the Mahara Sports Hall.

At this evenly contested battle Sithumli Rathnayake defeated her schoolmate Shashini Malsha 2-0 to emerge champion. Rathnayake won both sets 11-7, 11-7.
It was interesting to note that both these youngsters entered the finals in their maiden appearance at a table tennis tournament.
Both Rathnayake and Malsha are grateful to the Mrs. Hema Jayawardene, the Principal and the Deputy Principal Mrs Dilani Balasooriya for their encouragement and guidance.
