Taxila Central Horana after being forced to follow on with a deficit of 176 runs put on stiff resistance to deny victory to their traditional rivals –Piliyandala Central in their 17th Battle of Salpiti-Raigam encounter concluded at De Soysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.
The opening day’s proceedings saw an unbeaten ton by Chamod Sandaru and a 73 by Heshan Madusanka helping Piliyandala Central make a formidable score of 291 for 9 declared.
