St. Anne’s Kurunegala having dominated proceedings against Holy Cross Kalutara in the Under 19 Division Two pre-quarter final encounter concluded at Kalutara yesterday saw them record a first innings win to advance to the quarter finals.

The second day’s play saw Holy Cross in reply to the Annites score of 195 being bowled out for 158 with Randeera Ranasinghe doing the damage.

Dudley Senanayake Central Tholangamuwa coasted to a massive innings and 158 runs win over Ibbagamuwa Central which ended at Ibbagamuwa. Meanwhile half tons by Pathum Mahesh and Lasindu Arosh saw Gurukula MV Kelaniya make a modest score of 229 against Mahinda who ended day one on 60 for 1 at Galle.

St. Sebastian’s Katuneriya ended the opening day’s play in a commanding position against St Peter’s at Katuneriya.
