Islandwide Schools Dengue Prevention Programme today too
View(s):The 3-day special Dengue Prevention Programme in schools islandwide, conducted by the Ministry of Education, will be held today as well, with the assistance of the Tri-Forces and Police.
The programme which started last Friday was implemented with the participation of students, past pupils, parents and the Medical Officers of Health. In addition, special teams from the Tri-Forces, Police and the Civil Defence Force were co-opted for their assistance.
On Friday, the Shramadana Campaign was conducted during school hours, instead of the usual academic activities. Students were permitted to wear suitable attire for the programme, instead of their school uniforms.
