St. Thomas’ Matale registered their third successive victory in the ongoing SLSCA U/17 division 1 cricket tournament when they beat Sri Sumangala college Kandy by 8 wickets in their inter school cricket encounter played at STC ground Matale.

Elected to bat first Sri Sumangala made 130 all out in 34.5 overs with J.R. Weerasinghe top scoring with 32 runs St. Thomas’ in their run chase reached the target in 23.4 overs for the loss of two wickets. Visal Ekanayake made a top score of 53 runs for St. Thomas’.
