‘Sarama’ Rock with Desmond, Sunil, Annesley and Rajiv
The Four Aces of Sinhala Pop who enlightened the Golden era of Sri Lankan Music during the 70’s- the legendary Desmond de Silva, Sunil Perera of Gypsies fame, prince of Sinhala Pop Annesley Malawana and the man who regenerated the 70’s big time Rajiv Sebastian are in the process of releasing their Latest creation ‘Sarama’ by way of a mega Concert at the BMICH on 7th June 2017 at 7.00pm.While the four aces are billed to perform their popular hits individually, quartet will team up together with a sing along kind of ‘Mash up Medley’ of yesteryear before performing their Latest song ‘Sarama’.
Sarama (The Sarong) is a theme, which didn’t catch the eye of a single creator to date but undoubtedly the most popular attire among men, which has no barriers towards any cast, creed or religion. The song is filled with humour describes the advantages and the disadvantages of the attire used by various businessmen, farmers, drunkards, thugs, politicians etc.
The Master of Ceremonies would be the legendary Vijaya Corea and musically backed by Rajiv and the Clan.
The song ‘Sarama’ is the brain child of Rajiv Sebastian and the audio CD of ‘Sarama’ is scheduled to be launched at the event.
