Musical soirée
View(s):The Women’s International Club will present an evening of light classical music , covering composers from the historic capitals of Austria, Poland, France and Germany on May 30, 2017. Musicians featured include Ramya Perera, Meneka Sahabandu, Sureka Amarasinghe and Tiyanie Sahabandu, a statement said.
The Programme comprises of virtuosic piano pieces by Chopin, violin compositions by Brahms, a composition for piano and violin by Mozart, light songs and an arrangement for flute and piano from the popular opera Carmen. Another interesting item will be an improvisation by Sureka’s students on saxaphone, flute and piano.
Tickets for a Musical soirée on May 30 at 6pm priced at Rs. 750 will be available at the Women’s International Club, 16 Guildford Crescent, Colombo 7 (next to the Lionel Wendt)
