We lack good cricket administrators

As a former Sri Lankan Cricketer, I feel so sad, that different administration that was responsible to develop our National Cricket could not perform, there task due to various changes in the administration structure from 1996 onwards.

Every change in administration, appointed capable people to selection committees. The new chairman of selectors promise the Cricketing public to produce high class young Cricketers. When the chairman speaks he has to make sure he has a good team to perform this job. I am speaking of a good set of coaches that can produce good results. Upto now Chairmen of selectors come and go but no one has kept to their word.

How can any Cricket administrator could be blamed if those who are given responsibilities do not do their jobs efficiently.
As for developing Club Cricket a long term plan is necessary and those who have to perform such a job the persons concerned must do it as a full time job. Can the Cricket Board find such devoted people? I know of a Cricket Chairman who wanted his salary increased double-fold. Are we giving to appoint selectors and Cricket developers, who are more concerned about their salary?
Also those who play Cricket must not think of their salary. Let those who give salaries increase according to your performance. I know what I say can hurt some people, but what I think about the game is more important to me than seeing the game deteriorating.
