Warnaweera should be punished
View(s):”The ICC has banned cricketer and curator of Galle stadium Warnaweera for three years from taking part in cricket related activities for his failure to co-operate with the ICC for match fixing allegations. He has failed to meet ICC anti corruption officals on appointed dates to give evidence and connected documents.
This amounts to admission of guilt. Many international cricketers have gone before the ICC during the recent past and while some have been exonerated some punished and have served their sentences. Mr. Warnaweera has brought disrepute to the game of cricket and Sri Lanka by his behaviour. Cricket lovers are watching what action the local cricket administrators propose to take in this regard.”
