Super Golden Chimes had reunion Concert at the BMICH recently. The 70s pop band kept the audience spellbound for almost two and half hours with songs that are evergreen penned by late Clarence Wijewardene.

The band comprises Annesley Malawana, Sunil Malawana, Dickson Guneratne, Rukshan Perera, Paul Perera and Nimal Perera. The very popular outfit of the 70’s also a popular dance band during that time, dished out some western music, which was well received by the audience.

The acappella of Clarence’s compositions was sung very beautifully by the band members. The highlight of the evening was Sunil Malawana’s version of ‘Baila Me’, which he sang and danced with four dancers for which he got a standing ovation.
