India offers Undergraduate Scholarships to SL students

Sri Lanka students can apply for undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Medicine (MBBS) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) under the Self-Financing Scheme for the academic year 2015-16 against the reserved seats of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India, the Indian High Commission announced.

Application forms are available at the Education Wing of the High Commission of India, Colombo 3 on any working day between 1400-1600 hrs on production of GCE O/L, A/L certificates of Sri Lanka (issued by the Department of Examination, Battaramulla) or GCE O/L, A/L certificates, London, and Birth Certificate.

Sri Lanka students already studying in India can also apply for nomination pending final declaration of their qualifying examination results, equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE examination results, the High Commission said in a news release.

Completed application forms should be submitted on or before April 10, 2015.
