Yahani Mendis of Girls High School Mt. Lavinia won the Western Province Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship conducted by I&D Table Tennis Academy held at S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium. She beat her schoolmate Sachini Alwis in the finals by 2-1 after a close battle.

With the result after this tournament she claimed the No.1 spot in the Western Province Open Rankings. Yahani is the table tennis captain of Girls High School Mt. Lavinia and has won several tournaments in the recent years.
