Jaffna Library best in Lanka
View(s):The Jaffna Public Library was recently awarded the “Swarna Purawara Certificate” on being selected as the best public library in Sri Lanka.
S.D. Moorthy, Acting Consul General of India in Jaffna gifted a set of books to Mrs.. Sadasivamoorthy, Chief Librarian of Jaffna Public Library.in appreciation of this honour.
Mr. Moorthy appreciated the good work of the library staff and hoped that year by year the Jaffna Public Library would keep on retaining the status of best public library in Sri Lanka.
He said in future he expected to gift a set of books to the Kondavil Public library and the Analaitivu Public Library which have also won special awards. Meanwhile the Killinochchi Public library which has been recently set up will be gifted a set of books by the Indian High Commission.
