Janadhipathi BV hockey champs
View(s):Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya Sri Jayawardhanapura bagged the girl’s championship hockey title at the National School Games defeating defending champs Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya Matale 2-1 in the final worked off at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya grounds in Colombo.
In the run-up to the final Janadhipathi BV beat Pushpadana BV Kandy 1-0 in the quarter finals with Sandali Perera scoring the goal.
In the semi-finals Janadhipathi BV edged past Panadura Balika Vidyalaya 2-1 with Sandali Perera and Malindi Maleesha scoring the goals.
The National School Games was conducted by the Ministry of Education at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya ground.Sandali Perera was selected as the most outstanding player of the tournament. The Janadhipathi BV team is coached by A.N. Perera and the Teacher-in-charge is Thulya Thilakaratna.
