Kaveesh, Charith, Sham steer Singha SC
Kaveesh Kumara, Charith Asalanka and Sham Suranga helped Singha SC Ambalangoda to score a first inning win over Police SC in the Under 23 Division Two cricket encounter concluded at the BRC ground yesterday.

Kaveesh cracked twin half tons while Charith put in a fine all-round performance and Sham took a five wicket haul enabling them to come on top.
The duo’s half tons saw Singha SC make 235 on day one with Police SC ending the day making 84 for 3. Police SC resuming on their overnight score found Sham and Charith who together shared nine wickets between them too hot to handle and folded up for a score of 172.
Tharindu Lakshitha’s unbeaten knock of 73 saw BRC end day one making bold reply of 145 for 1 against Chilaw Marians at the BRC ground.
Earlier in the day Chilaw Marians taking first lease of the wicket were struggling on 86 for 5 at lunch, recovered thanks to a half ton by Kasun Vidura to end their innings on 167.
