Angels ‘A’ BC held sway over Hatton National Bank to register a comfortable 40 to 16 win in the final of the women’s over 35 basketball match played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium recently. At the short whistle the winners held a 21 to 8 point lead.
The tournament was organized and conducted by Masters Basketball – Sri Lanka.
For the Angels BC, Shervon Perera, Champa Kumarathunge and Manori Hettiarachchi score 12 points each. For HNB the top scorer was Malani Jayasekera with 10.

their skills
Lanka Legends BC displayed their skills to defeat Old Bens BC by 41 points to 25 after leading by 20 to 16 at half time.
The best shooters for Legends BC were, Samson De Mel, Piyal De Silva and Kumar Fernando with 13 points each.
For Old Bens, Sonal De Silva and Mohamed Aslam were on target with 10 each.
Nets BC in close win over Moratuwa BV
Duke Rajapaskse of Nets BC showed his experience when he drew the foul at the last minute to take advantage of the free shot to beat their strong rivals Moratuwa BC by 47 points to 45 in the over 35 final match in the same tournament. However, at the short whistle Moratuwa BV led by 27 points to 23.

For Moratuwa BC the best shooters were, Thaminda
Fernando, Gayan Meedeniya and Aruna Wickramge were the main scorers with 13 points each.
