Chamod Shehan Sarathchandra, a member of the Sunday Times – HitAd team, won the award for the category of sales executive- media at the National Sales Congress (NASCO) organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) held in Colombo recently. Spearheaded by Samantha Weeraratne, AGM Advertising Wijeya Newspapers Ltd, Sunday Times – HitAd was introduced to the public in 2004. Since its inception, the tabloid has revitalised the Sri Lankan market and become the forerunner in advertising, accepted island wide as the premier advertising magazine. Initially printed with only four broadsheet pages, the magazine now approaches an approximate 400 pages on a weekly basis.

Mr. Sarathchandra has been a member of the HitAd team for nearly five years. Mr. Weeraratne, founder of the HitAd, said, “While congratulating Chamod Shehan Sarathchandra for his achievement, I also would like to thank every individual from Ad collection to Back office, Production to Distribution who has contributed to bring HitAd to where it is today”.
