“Sihina Kumara” A Korean royal love epic
View(s):The internationally acclaimed Korean television drama “The Princess Man” titled “Sihina Kumara” in Sinhala started its telecast on Derana TV on March 31. This is the first ever Sinhala dubbed Korean drama series telecast on Derana. “The princess Man” which originally ran on Korean television, has won many awards including the Best Drama Series award at the Asian Television Awards 2012 and the Best Series Drama at the 7th Seoul International Drama Awards (2012).
“Sihina Kumara” is telecast every weekday (Monday to Friday) at 7.00pm on TV Derana.
The drama, set in the 15th Century, revolves around a tragic love story between the daughter of Prince Sooyang and son of Kim Jong Seo. The son of Kim Jong Seo, Seungyoo, is a handsome and wise man who carries noble qualities. Princess Seryeong, a daughter of King Sejo, aka prince Sooyang, is a cheerful, lively lady with a strong curiosity and bold personality. They fall in love instantly but later find out that their parents are sworn enemies. It’s similar to the epic version of “Romeo and Juliet”.
