Lankan students enjoy Iowa State
View(s):Both Mannooj Chandrasekeran (L) and Pradeen Barthiban of Asian International School (www.ais.lk) were recently placed at the Iowa State University (www.iastate.lk) to major in engineering by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) with its highest international scholarship. Following are the observations of freshly arrived Mannooj;
My experience in Iowa State University is great. I have met with lots of new people and interacted with many.
We have a lot of assignments and tests which have to be submitted on time. This is a good system training us to manage time.
The people of Iowa are really friendly and I have already fallen in love with this place. Iowa State University has one of the best engineering facilities in USA . There is 33,000 students studying in Iowa State University in which there is 26,000 undergraduates.
In food there is much variety. There are many restaurants and dining centers in the campus. My favourite place is the dinning center in Union drive. I have established a good relationship with my academic adviser who is never too far when I need help.
I thank my parents for giving me such a great and life changing experience.
