‘German Open Quiz ‘ – Another opportunity for Sri Lankan Quizzers!
View(s):The German Quizzing Association has invited the International Quizzing Association (IQA) Sri Lanka branch to take part in their first edition of the ‘German Open Quiz’ to be held on Saturday, 5th October ’13. IQA Sri Lanka has thus arranged to conduct this quiz at JAIC Hilton, No 200 Union Place, Colombo 02 for the benefit of our quizzers commencing at 1.00pm Sri Lanka time on Saturday 05th October.
It will be an individual quiz, consisting of 240 questions with mainly international focus, and is to be answered by contestants within a period of approximately 120 minutes. There will be six categories in this ‘German Open Quiz’ – Art & Culture, Civilisation,
Entertainment, Lifestyle, Physical World, Sport & Leisure – with 40 questions each. In each category, the first 10 questions will be comparatively easy going but the last 10 would be more difficult ones.
Countries including US, UK and Ireland to India, Philippines and Malaysia are taking part and it will be an ideal opportunity for Sri Lankan quizzers also to take part in this contestand enhance their knowledge further.
Participation fee will be Rs 1000/- (including light refreshments) and the closing date for registrations is 2nd October ’13.
