Vidyartha and Maliyadeva annex ‘A’ division TT titles
Vidyartha College ‘A’ and Maliyadeva ‘A’ clinched the boys and girls ‘A’ division under 18 Inter-Schools Table Tennis Championships, which was organized and conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Table Tennis Association, at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium recently.
In the boys’ category, Vidyartha College ‘A’ got the better of their ‘B’ team by 3-0, while in the girls’ segment, Maliyadeva College’A, Kurunegala was severely jolted by Dharmasoka College ‘A’ Ambalangoda before posting a close 3-2 win.
Furthermore, in the girls’ segment, Dharmasoka College pocketed a double when they won their ‘B’ team defeated Holy Family, Kalutara ‘B’ 3-0 to win the ‘B’ division and then win the ‘C’ division when their ‘C’ team downed Sangamitta, Galle ‘A’ team 3-0. In the boys’ ‘F’ division, newcomers Chandradanda College’s ‘A’ team staved off a vicious challenge from Dharmapala, Panniptiya ‘B’ to post a 3-2 win.

‘E’ division – Lyceum, Wattala beat Bishops College 3/2.
‘F’ division – Karandeniya Central beat St. Mary’s Convent 3/1.

‘E’ division – Aluthgama MV ‘A’ beat Royal, Panadura 3/1.
‘F’ division – Chandrananda College ‘A’ beat Dharmapala ‘B’ 3/2.
