Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was in Colombo last week to launch stunning new additions to Colombo Jewellery Store’s (CJS) Perpetual Grace collection. The CJS Brand Ambassador was joined by Sri Lankan business and fashion icon Otara Gunawardena, who also launched her ‘Hoola’ Collection, the newest addition to her exclusive line for CJS.

Jacqueline shot to fame as Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 and subsequently made a name for herself in India’s film industry. The actress wore a gorgeous pair of emerald, pearl and diamond chandelier earrings set with 30 carats of emeralds and 7.5 carats of diamonds. Otara’s exotic limited edition collection Hoola uses a variety of colourful gems set in both gold and white gold; Jacqueline was presented with the first pieces from the new collection.

“These new pieces epitomise that uncompromising quality and exclusivity constructed on our hallmark platform of heritage and history,” commented Akram Cassim, Chairman of CJS. The Perpetual Grace campaign had Jackie mounting a horse in fabulous accessories; “Who knows, Akram might pack me off to the moon next time,” she laughed when asked what her next daredevil stunt for the brand might be.
