Ikebana the Japanese form of flower arranging has brought together enthusiasts, fostering a worldwide friendship through flowers within Ikebana International.

Ikebana International’s Sri Lanka Chapter 262 which was formed last July will hold its annual exhibition of members’ work on June 15 and 16 at the Monara Hall of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Galle Road, Colombo 3. Titled ‘Blossoms of Hope 2013’ the exhibition promises new ideas and a feast for the eye.

Singaporean floral expert and advisor to the Sri Lanka Chapter Christopher Lim will attend the exhibition and also hold a demonstration on June 15 at the exhibition at 5 p.m. All proceeds from ‘Blossoms of Hope ‘ will be used to purchase life-saving drugs for children with cancer at the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama.
