I studied at Royal Institute International School and joined MC SL in 2012 to follow the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) programme and further continue the diploma in business studies. I’m planning to transfer to Deakin University, Australia to follow the bachelors’ degree in Management and Marketing. The support I’m receiving from the business faculty at MC SL is remarkable given that I did my O/Ls in the Science stream and yet I was able to receive Distinctions in commerce. Furthermore, I’m currently holding the post of Vice President in the Media Unit and I’m a member of several other societies including the Art club which has given me the opportunity to meet people and make good friends. My ambition is to run my own T.V. Channel. Doing MUFY is an advantage as it’s equivalent to A/Ls and yet only takes one year to complete.”

I joined Monash College in Sri-Lanka right after completing my O-Level exams at The Westminster School in Dubai, UAE. I actually heard about Monash College/ University because of its great reputation and after considering the fact that it’s located in Sri-Lanka as well; I decided to join the college. I am currently in the process of completing my MUFY. Afterwards, I’m planning on transferring to Monash University in Malaysia to start and complete my Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Both Marketing and Management (as a Double Major). The Monash Foundation Programme is exceptionally important as it has created a bridge between high school education and College/University education. The faculty at Monash College have been a great support in helping students like me to achieve life goals by creating an environment just right for people to pursue their educational goals and to have a successful educational future.

I joined ANC, Monash University Foundation Year program in May 2012. Now I’m in my second semester following the MUFY Engineering programme. I’m completing my program in 2013 and transfer to Monash University Australia to follow Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering. MUFY actually saved one year of my time as I joined the programme after following A/L’s for one year as I learnt MUFY gives university entrance qualification within just one year and guarantees a place in Monash. I’m happy with the program as it takes lesser time duration and it is not only exam based teaching.
Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) is offered by ANC Education, licensed holder for Monash College programs in Sri Lanka. MUFY is one year programme and it is an equivalent qualification to A/Levels. One can follow the MUFY programme instead of A/Levels and enter the university earlier than following the A/Level course work. For a student who is planning to start higher education in an international university the MUFY comes as a great advantage since the course can be completed within one year and you can start while pending O/Level results. Therefore, you are given a chance to graduate at an early age and save a few more years for further higher education or to start your career and gain experience. Through MUFY students are given an opportunity to learn with university lecturers and prepare for university teaching methods, styles and techniques which are very much different to the primary education system in the country. Students are also able to polish their English language skills required for university studies through the course. The risk of failure is very less as the student’s knowledge is evaluated not only with exams but also with practical learning methodology throughout the semester.
The MUFY is accepted in universities from leading higher education hubs globally including Australia, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, UK and New Zealand. In Australia MUFY is accepted in all universities as an entry level qualification.
