Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) completes another eventful year and is due to hold its 19th Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 7 April at the Sripali Reception Hall in Moratuwa at 4.30 pm.  The show will get on the road with the rendition of the Moratuwa Theme song ‘Siribara Moratu Game’ penned by Priya Peiris of Labambas fame and the melody composed by songster, composer and conductor C L Fonseka.

There would be a few colourful items of interest and distribution of awards. The incumbent President Lincoln de Silva who completes two years as President would call the membership to appoint a new President as he has no intention of continuing for a further period but wishing fresh young blood coming to the fore front to take the Forum forward and to reach higher levels.

Lincoln de Silva President confirms that the last project for the year during his period being the variety show “Punsanda Paaya” had to be postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and now will be held on Sunday 5 May. ‘Punsanda Paaya’ is a very popular variety entertainment presented by Moratuwa Arts Forum and would be organized by the Co-Project Chairmen Lucky Deva and Shiraz Sudar.

This time the show would be with a difference as it would be to a theme and most popular artistes of MAF would come forward to perform along with other non member popular artistes of Moratuwa. MAF is due to reach the next level and currently in the process of constructing their own website www.moratuwaartsforum.com that is due to be officially launched on this day of “Punsanda Paaya” variety show

The Chief Guest who would grace the occasion will be the Divisional Secretary K C Niroshan who supports all cultural and art activities of the area. The President of MAF on this day would also present the audio CD of the song ‘Siribara Moratu Game’ to the Divisional Secretary.
