Armenian universities have opened their doors for foreign students for education in the field of medicine, nursing and engineering. With famous universities like Yerevan State Medical College (estd. 1920), Yerevan State Engineering University (estd. 1933) and Erebuni State Medical College (estd. 1960), American University of Armenia (estd. 1989). The people of Armenia are hospitable and welcoming. Living expenses in Armenian is probably the lowest in comparison to other European countries. Armenian Universities have now opened its doors for Sri Lankan students. Since 2010, Sri Lankan students are pursuing medical studies in Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) of Armenia.
