Many Christmases have come and gone,

Celebrating the Saviour’s born

With tinselled trees, fairy lights aglow,

Baubles, bows, fir wreaths on the door.

Carolling, shopping,
gaily-wrapped gifts,
Stockings waiting Santa’s visit,
Turkey, breudher, cakes and candy too!
And Christmas white, red, pink or blue.

This year will you just pause
for a while…
Decorate faces with a smile,
Make a few sad hearts merry and bright
Fill some lives with a glowing light?

Then, this Christmas morn will surely dawn,
Celebrating the Savior’s born!
For you’d have understood the reason,
For this blessed season.
