Hewlett Packard (HP) recently unveiled to the Sri Lankan market, three of its latest PC products – HP Envy Spectre, HP Envy Sleekbooks and H P Envy Ultrabook.

What the HP PC makers intend is to be on top of the PC market by offering the consumers the top quality, affordable and competitively priced, computers. HP also has ensured that these latest PCs are sleek and low weight enabling easy handling and portability.

Introduction of these PH new products took place at a media conference held in Colombo last week. On the sidelines of the press conference, Christian Edmond Y Reyes, Category and Marketing Manager, Asia Emerging Countries, HP Singapore told the Business Times that they are concerned about the affordability (of computers) in countries like Sri Lanka.

He said that their PCs come with unbeatable quality and said that they are using ultra-modern technology and also another aim is to target some of their products at students. He said that their PCs come with unbeatable quality and said that they are using ultra-modern technology and also another aim is to target some of their products at students. He said that one of these products now introduced could be purchased locally at around Rs 55,000 and said that another product HP 1000 is priced lower which could be used by students.

At the briefing Mr Reyes said that their expanded portfolio of HP Ultrabook and HP Sleekbooks for both consumers and businesses deliver uncompromised performance, quality and entertainment. He said that the expanded Notebook Portfolio is thin and light, packed with the latest technologies and is demand driven.
