Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd, the farmer-owned New-Zealand-based cooperative which is a large milk processor in the world, has appointed Leon Clement as the new Managing Director for Fonterra Brands in Sri Lanka.

He takes over from Achyut Kasireddy who has relocated to a role within Fonterra in China, the company said in a statement.
Managing Director ASEAN/MENA Mark Wilson said Mr Clement is well placed to guide Fonterra in this important dairy market.
“Fonterra is firmly committed to Sri Lanka – we have been supplying dairy nutrition to the country for more than 35 years. Today we employ more than 700 staff and work with multiple distribution and retail partners across the island.

Mr Clement moves to Sri Lanka from Fonterra in Vietnam, where he led Fonterra’s consumer brands business for four years. Mr Clement joined Fonterra in 2002 and has held a number of senior management and General Manager roles.
