‘Though we are just two minutes walk from the beach, hotel enjoys the calm and peacefulness without getting disturbed by the train or the noise of the sea’ said Shantha Haththotuwegama, the General Manager of the Hotel.

Palm Beach hotel has a capacity of 44 fully equipped rooms, the ‘Summertime’ open air restaurant, an Atrium coffee shop in addition to four banqueting and conference halls.

The hotel under the ownership of Don Yasapala Jayasuriya, an entrepreneur from the USA since May 2003, gained the popularity amongst local community.

Hotel’s Executive Chef and Residence Manager Kapila Jayanetti is the driving force behind the popular culinary revelation.

The Palm beach hotel’s a la carte menu consists of a varied collection of dishes ,a fusion of the East and West, like steak and grill, sea food, vegetable dishes, tempting appetizers and salad, soups, sandwiches and burgers, oriental flavors and yummy desserts.

One can choose from an array of dishes like Palms mixed grill, grilled chicken – served with baked potatoes sautéd mushrooms, carrots and red wine sauce, char grilled tenderloin of beef, grilled seafood, grilled seer, grilled tiger prawns, vegetable Shepard pie, tuna salad, French onion soup, tuna melt sandwich, pan fried chicken, cottage pie, country style rice and curry and mogul biryani etc.

‘Our main aim is to provide the best cuisine experience for the Sri Lankan  clientele’ Jayanetti said.
‘Our Sunday Buffet is a major attraction and we get family and groups even from Colombo’ Shantha explained.

The Sunday package priced marked Rs 1800/- includes free use of swimming pool, buffet, evening tea and cakes.

The hotel has facilities close to the beach. Beach Club set against the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, designed in keeping with local costal architecture, it is the ultimate place to sun bathe, relax or sea bathe.
Palm Beach consultant Milinda Hettiarchchi, a senior figure in the Sri Lankan tourism and hospitality industry said the hotel had ambitious plans to develop itself further, but that development would be in conjunction with the development of the tourism industry in Sri Lanka.

The Palm Beach hotel has devised an ambitious plan to treat their customers at a totally different level by organizing buffets on Sundays which will get underway during the festive season.
