With Sri Lanka hosting the T20 World Cup all the attention has been focused on the international cricket teams battling it out for the crown. Meanwhile with somewhat less fanfare, the Women’s T20 World Cup has also begun and welcoming the UK team, British High Commissioner John Rankin hosted them to tea at his residence Westminster House on Monday, September 24. First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa elegant in summery pink also graced the occasion.

Among the guests were the Minister of Sports and prominent women from the business world, the arts and sports, government and civil society.
