The Australian Catholic University (ACU) recently held an awards ceremony for winners of the ‘PIXEL’ photography competition.

The awards ceremony held at Taj Samudra and Mr Gotabaya Jayarathne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education was the Chief Guest, and was also present HE Robyn Mudie, Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Ms Liz Hern, Associate Director (International) and Ms Colma Fechner, Regional Manager (South Asia) of Australian Catholic University, Ms Sonya Boylan, Head of Immigration of Australian High Commission and Mr David Samuel, Business Development Manager of Australian Trade Commission.

Certificates were presented to students who won the first three prizes at the PIXEL competition as well as to all participants to encourage them to enhance their skills in photography.

Several photographs submitted by students were also displayed at the awards ceremony. ACU also invited parents, principals, academics and special invites for the awards ceremony.
