The government is exploring the possibility of Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne undergoing treatment in a medical institution in the United States.

An official said yesterday that he may be moved by an air ambulance but added that a date was yet to be worked out.
The move follows President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s visit to Lanka Hospitals where Premier Jayaratna has been warded for the past one month.
