Swadeshi Industrial Works PLC, the market leader for herbal based personal care products, has received the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Management Certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI.

Swadeshi’s quality management system was earlier certified as compliant with ISO 9001:2000, the company said in a statement.
The key elements or ‘Quality Management Principles’ leading to this certification include achieving quality objectives, involvement of people in the quality management system, the process approach and continual improvements in manufacturing, fact-based decision making, mutually beneficial supplier relationships, customer satisfaction and focusing on consumer needs.
A spokeswoman for Swadeshi said: “All our products satisfy the highest legal and safety requirements, and the quality of all raw materials, packaging material and all processing steps are closely monitored by our Quality Assurance Department to ensure the quality of finished products.”
She said this certification will further enhance the trust that ‘our’ products have enjoyed over several decades.
